ABOUT US
In an increasingly competitive world, private tutoring plays a vital role in academic and professional success.
Luna Learning's services for both children and adults support achievement in this environment. Our approach is simple: Focus on each student’s specific needs and how each learns best. Instead of creating more work and material for students, we tailor activities to the student's life. With standardized tests, we focus on real test practice and test-taking techniques.
Luna Learning is based in Miami. Sessions usually occur in the afternoons or evenings at a library, bookstore, or cafe conveniently located near the student’s home or school. They can be arranged in the home or on weekends as well. We also offer online services, as well as summer and holiday schedules.

MEET MARK
With a Harvard Master‘s in Education and teacher training from the #1 teacher prep program in the country (Michigan State), Mark's ten years of experience in education draw from more than five years in China as a teacher and administrator at an IB international school serving more than 2,000 children from 60 countries, and more than two years in Washington, DC, working to improve teacher training. In China, he tutored several of his students at home in a range of academic subjects, as well as some of their parents -- corporate executives looking to sharpen language skills.
His love of teaching continued during law school at the University of Miami. He served as a teacher assistant for foreign lawyers enrolled in UM's international graduate programs. His weekly review sessions helped these students make sense of the US legal system.
Mark practiced law in the Miami office of a large, international firm that counts US Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts among its alumni. Later, Mark clerked for a federal judge in Miami, before returning to the education field. In addition to his tutoring services, this return has included teaching at the University of Miami School of Law as an adjunct professor in legal research, writing, and communication.
Subject matter knowledge, pedagogical skill, and a personal commitment to each student’s success form the foundation of a high quality tutor. Mark has laid this foundation during an accomplished career.
